In September 2010 Optima Chemical Group LLC was notified by the Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates, Inc. that they had placed Optima on their ChemStewards Tier III level. SOCMA presently has over 300 member companies, and Optima is among an elite group of only 12 companies that meet the criteria for the ChemStewards Tier III level. ChemStewards is SOCMA’s program for Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security systems, which include categories such as: OSHA recordable rates, Process safety systems, training programs, product stewardship, etc…
